FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

ARE RESERVATIONS REQUIRED?

Reservations are encouraged to ensure you secure the day & time that best fits your schedule, though walk-ins are always welcome!  Walk-in guests will be accommodated based upon guide/bike availability.

DO YOU ACCEPT RESERVATIONS FOR BIKE RENTALS?

Currently we only accept reservations for electric bikes, and long-term or multiple day standard bike rentals.  Same day bike rentals are accommodated on a first-come first-served basis.  We have a large rental fleet for our walk-in guests and should have no problem getting you out the door for your full or 1/2 day rental.

If you'd like to reserve long-term bike rentals for your vacation feel free to call us at the shop, or email via our website, and let us know how many bikes you'll need, and for how long you'll be renting, and we'll get you into our calendar.  Reservations are not confirmed until you've heard back from us (always within 24 hours).

HOW MANY PEOPLE DO YOU TAKE OUT ON TOUR?

We've found our magic number is between 10 and 11 people.  Maxing out under 12 on non private tours allows the tour to remain safe and personal, which is how we like it.  If you have a group larger than 10, please contact us to discuss private group tour options.

DO YOU OFFER PRIVATE AND/OR GROUP TOURS?

You bet!  Give us a call, or email through our website, and we'll work out the details.

ARE CHILDREN WELCOME ON YOUR TOURS?  ARE THERE AGE RESTRICTIONS?

Kids are absolutely welcome on tour!  Bike Riders ages 12 to 18 are welcome if accompanied by a legal guardian and meet height requirements to safely ride our bikes.  We can accommodate younger riders  on our private tours.

For the safety of all guests we ask that all participants be confident and experienced bike riders, no matter the age.

ARE THERE ANY REGULATIONS REGARDING DRINKING ALCOHOL & RIDING A BIKE?

In fact, there are.  In the eyes of Louisiana law, drinking alcohol and operating a bicycle is the same as that of an automobile.  Our tours are all about fun and learning, but most importantly they're safe. We ride in protected bike lanes and city streets, next to traffic. We ask that you respect the safety of your fellow bikers, tour guide, and everyone else on the road by not riding under the influence.

If you walk into our shop carrying an open alcoholic beverage we simply cannot allow you to ride or rent, but we will happily reschedule your reservation. Buzz Nola is a fully insured bicycle tour company, and to be in compliance with our policy we must abide by state law. New Orleans is a fantastic town for drinking and we will gladly recommend great spots for imbibing (we even offer a walking pub tour!), but we ask that you please wait until your tour is completed to indulge.

WHAT IF RAIN IS FORECASTED?  ARE TOURS CANCELLED DUE TO RAIN?

Weather in New Orleans can be unpredictable.  Because of this we run our tours rain or shine.  Buzz Nola provides complimentary ponchos, and we recommend dressing for the weather as much as possible.  We can't guarantee the weather, but we can guarantee a great time!  Some of our best tours have been in the rain!

Thunderstorms and lightning are something we don't mess with.  If your tour is cancelled due to inclement weather we will reach out as soon as possible to get your tour rescheduled.  If we cannot accommodate a new tour date on your trip your payment will be refunded.

I BOOKED A TOUR AND NEED TO CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE.  WHAT DO I DO?

We get it, it happens, and we try to be as flexible as possible.  If you need to cancel or reschedule please call or email us directly at info@buzznola.com.  If we receive your cancellation at least 48 hours before your scheduled tour time you can expect a full refund.  Cancellations within a 48 hour period will not be refunded.

Need to reschedule?  Given 24 hours notice we will always do our best to accommodate a rescheduled reservation according to availability.
